#TolkienCollection Shares from October 23, 2015

One of the photos we shared in yesterday’s post was from @FZorrozabal, and though we always love seeing more Tolkien books, it was that little box in the lower left corner that got us wondering. It looked like an excellent replica of Sam’s box of salt from the film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. We got in touch with @FZorrozabal to find out more, and we were so please that he responded with more photos!

We have to send a shout out to @ItsMeAmber_E and @AndyBirdUK for taking part in our latest #TolkienCollection photo challenge–Costume Change! Please join in our Halloween challenge by sharing a photo by November 1!

Remember to use the hashtag #TolkienCollection or #CollectAThing so we can share your photos in our daily post or tag us @CollectTolkien on Twitter and @CollectAThing on Instagram!

One of the treasures I acquired recently: Mr Bliss! One of Tolkien's shorter stories, and not taking place in Middle-earth. This is a beautiful edition that includes Tolkien's own illustrations and the handwritten manuscript. It's a crazy story about Mr Bliss buying a car and getting into all sorts of adventures. But my favourite is his pet, the girabbit, pictured in the top right! ~ . . . #bookstagram #tolkiencollection ~ ~ #tolkien #jrrtolkien #mrbliss #harpercollins #illustration #tolkienist #collection #booksarelife #instaread #instabook #igreads #igbooks #booknerd #bookworm #favouriteauthor #booknerdigans #bibliophile #tolkienite #tolkienfan #tolkiennerd #girabbit
