#TolkienCollection Shares from September 10, 2015

We’re so glad that people are joining in our #TolkienCollection photo challenges! We have to send a shout out to @Rainearthimbue and @thejoshtime who both posted photos with two halves of one of our favorite halfling duos–Merry and Pippin! @AndyBirdUK shared his Bag End bookends from his Lord of the Rings collectible set; that gives us both halves of Bilbo’s door! Remember, you have until Sunday night to show us you take on the theme “Half and Half”.

Thanks to everyone else who shared photos yesterday! If you want to see your photos in our daily post, remember to use the hashtags #TolkienCollection and/or #CollectAThing so we can track them down. To make it really easy, you could tag us @CollectTolkien on Twitter and @collectathing on Instagram!

"Are you going to leave me?" "No, Merry… I'm going to look after you." It's been awhile since my last #LotR scene re-creation. I'm submitting this one for this week's @collectathing (CollectTolkien on twitter) photo challenge theme, "Half and Half". I had so many ideas for this one, but #Merry and #Pippin just felt right at this moment. These two don't feel complete without their other half(ling), so I picked a (rather emotional) film scene where they were united once again. I swear, I don't choose all these emotional scenes intentionally. They just… happen. BRB, crying. #FriendshipGoals #TheLordOfTheRings #LordOfTheRings #ReturnOfTheKing #RotK #PelennorFields #Tolkien #TolkienCollection #Meriadoc #Brandybuck #Peregrin #Took #MeriadocBrandybuck #PeregrinTook #MiddleEarth #Rohan #Gondor
