#TolkienCollection Shares from August 11, 2015

Yesterday we got our fair share of miniatures–@Rainearthimbue showed us some tiny figures while @djy1935 shot some closeups of tiny Middle-earth environments! We also got to see plenty of books, and if you’re ready for another language lesson, we’ll give you the rundown:

  • @cemilegizem taught us some words beginning with “H” from a French to elvish dictionary. Now we know winter (hiver), man (homme), and most importantly, Hobbit in more languages!
  • It’s not the first time we’ve seen “In de Ban van de Ring,” but since @invisibledrag0n just picked up another copy, it’s a good time to remind ourselves of the Dutch title of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
  • @mr_bliss_presents gave us a glimpse of Adamant Henny, the third book in the Pierścień mroku (“Ring of Darkness”) trilogy by Nik Pierumow that takes place after the events of the War of the Ring.
  • @melindinaaa helps us remember a bit of Italian with Il cacciatore di draghi (“Farmer Giles of Ham”) and Lo Hobbit.
  • Don’t forget that this week’s #TolkienCollection photo challenge is Closeup. Remember to use the hashtag #TolkienCollection or #CollectAThing so we can share your photos in our daily post or tag us @CollectTolkien on Twitter and @CollectAThing on Instagram!
