#TolkienCollection Shares from July 31, 2015

We continue to be impressed by all of the collections that people share on the #TolkienCollection tag. We love seeing non-English books and collectibles because it’s great to see how people enjoy Tolkien all over the world! On Instagram, @mells_corner regularly shares photos of her collection, but instead of seeing the “The Lord of the Rings” on book spines, we see it in Swedish: “Sagan Om Ringen.” Another Instagrammer, @mr_bliss_presents, shares photos of his Tolkien collection, and many of the items (as well as his photo captions) appear in Polish. Broaden your lexicon by occasionally calling LOTR “Władca Pierścieni” instead!

Shout out to @AvengeThis, @Morgul_blade, and @thejoshtime who posted such excellent photos for this week’s #TolkienCollection photo challenge–In the Shadows! You have until Sunday night to participate in this week’s challenge, so if you haven’t already shared your take on the theme, we hope to see your photos before the week is out!

Remember to use the hashtags #TolkienCollection and/or #CollectAThing so we can share your photos in our daily post. To make it really easy, you could tag us @CollectTolkien on Twitter and@collectathing on Instagram!

"…and at last he slowly drew out the chain, and slipped the Ring on the forefinger of his left hand. Immediately, though everything else remained as before, dim and dark, the shapes became terribly clear." – A Knife in the Dark, #TheFellowshipOfTheRing Another scene re-creation for @collectathing's (@CollectTolkien on twitter) weekly photo challenge. This week's theme is "In The Shadows". As a forever fan of all things #Nazgûl, this is the first scene that came to mind. They are essentially walking shadows themselves. What better scene to re-create than our first up-close #Ringwraith encounter? I've always found it interesting that though the shadowy shapes of the Nazgûl become more visible in the Ring realm, all that remains of light and hope become lost, making the world seem even darker. This was a great opportunity to show off #Toybiz's awesome #TwlightFrodo and #TwilightRingwraith too! I love these figures and I love their scenes even more! #LotR #TheLordOfTheRings #LordOfTheRings #FotR #FellowshipOfTheRing #MiddleEarth #Tolkien #TolkienCollection #ActionFigures #Weathertop #Frodo #FrodoBaggins #WitchKing #Nazgul #Twilight #TheOneRing
