#TolkienCollection Shares from July 29, 2015

Yesterday on Twitter, we got a very eclectic mix of Tolkien collection items: @invisibledrag0n showed off the first Dutch editions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, @RachelTook1 shared pics of some LOTR-inspired library posters from when the movies were still in cinemas, @Earanor_Anaire went shopping and showed us her Tolkien finds, and @MrLDC surprised us with some Hobbit wrapping paper (we did some research, and no, it was never sold in stores!).

The theme on Instagram was jewelry (and maybe shiny things in general) with @mells_corner and @earanor_anaire sharing all kinds of trinkets based on Tolkien’s work.

Happily, the winner of our first #TolkienCollection photo challenge received their prize! @Morgul_blade shared a photo of the vintage copy of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers that they won for having the best photo. Remember, this week’s #TolkienCollection photo challenge is In the Shadows, and though we don’t offer prizes every week, it’s fun to join other Tolkien collectors by sharing pictures!

Use the hashtag #TolkienCollection or #CollectAThing so we can share your photos in our daily post! You can also tag us @CollectTolkien on Twitter and@CollectAThing on Instagram!
